Cloud infrastructure only works when it’s secure by design. That’s what this blog is about.
The intersection of infrastructure and security has been the foundation of my career helping organizations build resilient cloud platforms. Whether you’re building AI agents on serverless infrastructure, migrating to Azure, hardening your identity layer, or trying to make Terraform do what you actually want, I share what I’ve learned from a decade in the field. Expect practical insights on AI (in the context of infrastructure and security work), Azure Infrastructure, Cloud Security, and Infrastructure as Code. The focus here is on real-world solutions, not theoretical best practices that fall apart on contact with production.
A bit about the voice behind these posts: I’m a Senior Cloud Solution Architect at Microsoft, working in the Customer Success Unit. I was a Microsoft MVP in both Azure and Security (double MVP recognition in June 2024). I co-founded the Microsoft Security User Group with over 1,000 members, contribute Terraform modules to the community, and speak at conferences when I get the chance.
You can find me sharing knowledge here on this blog, contributing to open-source projects, or helping organizations solve cloud infrastructure challenges.
Life outside of Azure happens in Norway. I’m Icelandic by birth, Norwegian by residence, and I plan infrastructure like my ancestors planned voyages: carefully, strategically, and with far too much coffee.
